8 kW Fast Charge — CCS1 Worldwide

Charge at up to 8,000 watts on the growing global CCS1 fast-charge network — or use an ultra-compatible Tesla charger path with a CCS1 adapter where supported.

Typical session: roughly 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes at 8 kW, so you’re back on the road without a long layover.

Pair with the Bluetooth BMS app to monitor charge rate, temperature, and limits in real time.

Isolated Exoskeleton Cradle

To protect the central folding hinge, the battery never sits inside the frame cavity. It rides in an isolated structural exoskeleton cradle on the non-folding rear triangle — between the seat and the rear carriage.

Modular Lock-In Mechanism — 57 lb

This is not a loosely seated tray. Two thin carbon steel aluminum guide rails form the cradle sides. The 57 lb module slides in and locks until positive and negative contacts mate with quick-connect terminals.

Dual over-center cam latches secure it — mechanical retention and electrical connection in one motion. Rigid at 70 mph. Off in seconds when you fold, store, or ship the pack separately.

From Amsterdam folding bikes to a motorcycle that travels.

The idea for SkeletKey was conceived in Amsterdam, inspired by the city’s culture of folding e-bikes — machines that disappear into apartments, trains, and daily life. The question was simple: why shouldn’t a real electric motorcycle fold the same way?

While building the first prototypes and waiting on my Dutch wife’s K-1 visa to be approved, I traveled with the frame four times back and forth. The bike had to move as easily as we did.

We’re now happily married for over two years and living in New York City. SkeletKey is the machine that came out of that journey — a folding, modular, long-range electric motorcycle built for people who refuse to choose between performance and portability.

Iterating until the fold was light enough to matter.

Before the production plan, we built and rebuilt. Each generation of the Puca prototype taught us what to keep — and what to strip away.
